Enhanced weight reduction, chakra tuning, eliminating stress, motivation, health improvement, creativity boosting, and a number of other items can all be helped by using binaural beats. You may be asking where this concept of binaural beats came from and the reason why there are so many benefits to utilizing them. Let us discuss where binaural beats have come from, what binaural beats are, and if binaural beats are effective.
Heinrich Wilhelm Dove was the first physicist to recognize the phenomenon of binaural beats in 1839. What he identified was that administering different tones to each ear, you can create what is named a “binaural beat.” These tones were given to each ear at the same time with a slight alteration in each tone that is measured in Hertz (Hz) or cycles per second. The frequency variation between the tone in one ear and the tone in the opposite ear would be called the “beat.”
For example, let’s presume that you have one tone being played to each ear. The first tone could be 180 Hz and played into your right ear, and the other tone could be 185 Hz and played in the left ear. The difference in frequencies creates a “beat” referred to as the binaural beat. In the example, the difference would be 5 Hz.
The most vital part to mention is that these are perceived by the brain, and are not actually “heard” as it may sound. These are responses in parts of the brain stem which are given from the superior olivary nucleus of each half of the brain. What makes this so vital is that the “beats” that are experienced actually cause the two sides of the brain to be in sync with one another.
The binaural beats are not just focused on individuals and are used on a bigger scale. One organization, The Monroe Institute, put quite a bit of effort into marketing this type of treatment, which has been utilized in hospitals and other areas. Many benefits have been achieved from utilizing the binaural beats, including less of a requirement for pain medicine, speedy recuperation, stabilized blood pressure, and more.
Three tapes were created and were given out to prove or disprove this concept in 1999. This study, performed by Anesthesia, selected individuals that were involved in a number of different procedures, gave them a tape with either a product called “Hemisync,” a classical music recording, or a tape with nothing on it. Each one of these subjects were also administered a drug called fentanyl, which is typically used in the treatment of chronic pain. The subjects requiring less fentanyl were those subjects not listening to the classical music tape, or the blank tape, but the subjects listening to the Hemisync tape.
Displaying that the benefits of binaural beats can be measured does help this sometimes misunderstood method. “Hemispheric Synchronized Sounds and Intraoperative Anesthetic Requirements” was finished and truly helped the promotion by showing the world that binaural beats can be a benefit to the people that listen to them.
