Cellulites are normally but not entirely found on women and are tissues containing fat usually around the outer thighs, belly and bottoms. Men can have cellulites too although they are commonly whiter or several tones lighter than their natural skin color.
Ordinarily, with good blood circulation, a person will have smooth skin layers, but when there is fluid in the layers, the stored fats, and other chemical toxins do not get cleaned out of the system and become trapped within the skin. The tissues with the stored fats and poisons become hard over time producing the bumpy ‘orange peel’ appearance called cellulites.
How these cellulites will look and form depends on the individual’s genetic make-up, the type of life they lead and their weight. Strangely, there are different forms of cellulites and being fat is only one of the causes of cellulite as sporty and fit women can also suffer and it is found in the muscular tissues of active women such as dancers and athletes.
The hard cellulites bind themselves directly to the muscle tissue and are the toughest to get rid of. Fizzy cellulites, although, are much more apparent and may even appear to sag from the skin surface and while they come about in larger, muscle areas, they are ordinarily easily removed.
It is women who suffer the most from cellulite and this can start anytime after their 14th birthday and will commonly get worse with maturity. The birth control pill has been linked with acquiring cellulites, as has giving birth and suffering from an injury.
Having the correct diet and plenty of exercise is still thought to be the best way to control cellulites as physical exercise will improve the circulation which in turn improves the appearance of the skin. While physical exercise is good, it works better when working in conjunction with a detoxifying diet which should include lots of of fruits and vegetables. Coffee and fizzy drinks should be avoided where practicable but wholegrain foods are definitely advocated.
It is thought by some that spicy foods may bestow much in the appearance of cellulites but so far this seems to be unfounded and so not proved. The same cannot be said for those other 2 toxin laden commodities, alcohol and smoking which should be avoided. While a low fat diet is always preferably for health, reducing the intake of fatty foods helps subdue the enlargement of the cellulites because fat is harder to digest and more challenging to remove from your body.
While they cannot entirely get rid of cellulites, cellulite ointments are quite productive in treating and concealing cellulite. By using alpha-hydroxyl acid cream, the cellulites are made to appear as if they have vanished by making the skin more elastic whereas all the cream has done is mask the cellulites. Water, whether drunk or in therapy form is good for the skin as it removes toxins and fats from the system, improving the blood circulation and digestion, in effect rendering the cellulites less visible.
