<p>In 2003, approximately 13 percent of women took an antidepressant at some time during their pregnancy. Dr. Kimberly Ann Yonkers, one of the lead authors from Yale University said &#8220;Depression in pregnant women often goes unrecognized and untreated in part because of concerns about the safety of treating women during pregnancy.&#8221;</p>
<p>Both depression symptoms and the use of antidepressant medications during pregnancy have been associated with negative consequences for the newborn. Compared to those kids born to mothers without depression, infants born to women with depression have increased risk for irritability, less activity and attentiveness, and fewer facial expressions.</p>
<p>Depression and its symptoms to a very large extend are also associated with fetal growth change and shorter gestation periods. And while available research still leaves a lot of questions unanswered, some studies have linked fetal malformations, cardiac defects, pulmonary hypertension, and reduced birth weight to antidepressant use during pregnancy.</p>
<p>Identifying depression in pregnant women can be difficult because its symptoms mimic those associated with pregnancy, such as changes in mood, energy level, appetite, and cognition. Depressed women are more likely to have poor prenatal care and pregnancy complications, such as nausea, vomiting, and preeclampsia, and to use drugs, alcohol, and nicotine.</p>
<p>Two main hormones, estrogen and progesterone cause mood swings during pregnancy. Emotions are always unstable and feeling of depression is normal as any other body changes during pregnancy. She may move from great joy to deep despair within fraction of time. This is no psychological problem but; a clear picture of hormonal changes. A pregnant woman may feel tearful with little cause or no cause at all. She may even find hard to express the reason of joy or despair.</p>
<p>Mood Swings are most common during the first trimester that is between 6 weeks to 10 weeks of pregnancy. The second gestation is the period when she first feels the baby move. Thus fluctuation of emotions reside during this period. The feeling is great so is her emotions.</p>
<p>The third trimester is the most anxious one. This is the period when she worries about everything and anything that she can think of. However her major cause of anxiety lies not just on the labour and delivery process but also in baby care and parenting in general. She will feel physically uncomfortable with the growth of the abdomen and will feel irritated with the lightest noise as she lacks sleep in general. It may be more extreme if she is single without a partner. The hard-core fact of being a single mother can make her feel stressed and isolated. Pregnancy is the important period of any women&#8217;s life. It is during this time she is very vulnerable both, physically and mentally. One should try help a pregnant women. <p>For most smokers the thought of quitting rarely crosses their minds. That is until one factor or another brings the idea to the forefront of their thoughts. Perhaps they have had a health scare. Perhaps they are finally noticing the toll that smoking is taking on their bodies. Whatever the reason is doesn&#8217;t matter. What does matter is that in actually taking the steps to quit, education and preparation MUST come before you stop.</p>
<p>You need to prepare and educate yourself to succeed in quitting smoking. Why go through all that torture when you can get there easily through proper preparation and education.</p>

And make sure that the program you are buying is grounded in education and preparation about quitting first and supplements or cessation aids second. You should be encouraged to take your time to learn and prepare as opposed to placing your faith in a product that states that there is no effort required on your part.</p>
<p>Your effort is most important; nothing comes without a little effort from you. And, this is all about you, so how can you not be involved in it? In fact, you should put in all your effort in the preparation stage and then leave the results to come on their own. Remember, quitting is the easy part &#8211; you just stop. It depends on the preparations you take before you quit. It is the preparations that determine your success or failure. So make sure you are ready to quit before you actually quit smoking.</p>

<p>You know what your smoking habit is like. You know what makes your craving to smoke the strongest. You know what daily problem areas make you struggle for control the most.</p>
<p>A good hypnosis program, using modern hypnosis techniques, can directly address your particular problem areas. A quality session works to remove cravings (emotional associations) from your mind. When that is done, you experience a simple choice to smoke or not, rather than a struggle against a craving.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s good, and it can be even better. <p>Electronic cigarettes continue to create a lot of buzz in the media and is stirring up some feathers with the FDA and World Health Organization. There is a glaring difference however in the safety of these devices as reported by the media versus the distributors that needs to be addressed.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s examine the argument in question and try to pick out the difference. If you ask an electronic cigarette vendor if their product is safe you will hear, &#8220;Yes, these devices contain only nicotine to satisfy your cravings and propylene glycol to give you the sensation of smoking.&#8221; When the media reporter gives you their take, it will sound something like, &#8220;These devices are not FDA Approved and may carry health risks.&#8221; Seems like a fair conflict of interest doesn&#8217;t it? But did you examine the context of each statement?</p>
<p>This is simply a conflict of interest. The media will report on electronic cigarettes to the general public and assume a non-smoking standard. Distributors of the e-cig deal with smokers who are looking for a safer alternative and will consider anything less dangerous than a tobacco cigarette as safer. So which side should carry more of the weight?</p>
<p>Why are electronic cigarettes so blatantly safer than tobacco? In a word, combustion. When tobacco ignites, that is where the 3,000 to 4,000 harmful chemicals come from. It&#8217;s not really the plant&#8217;s fault. You could smoke anything &#8211; lettuce, broccoli, maple leaves &#8211; and create most of those same chemicals through the same simple combustion process.</p>

Many smokers want to quit their unhealthy habit, but hesitate because they think that it&#8217;s too late or too difficult for them to stop. Fortunately this is not the case. It is never too late to dump any bad habit, even of a lifetime. </p>
<p>The whole process of giving up smoking will probably take a long time and will require determination and will power on behalf of the smoker. Although at first it may be difficultl to step away from being addicted to nicotine, as a smoker who wants to stop, it is best to focus on the benefits of quitting smoking that you will get.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a known fact that smoking causes different kinds of cancers and  illnesses. Experts say that each time a person smokes a cigarette, he or she will be losing part of their life span, health, money and also respect. We live in a world where there are so many anti-smoking agencies and institutions working against smoking and for this reason, smokers are generally not seen in a respectful light. So why not start to think about the benefits of stopping smoking and stop being addicted instead of losing all these for the sake of a cigarette?</p>
<p>Health is wealth. One of the most important benefits of stopping smoking that anyone can achieve is good health. Another benefit is the savings in your purse. Cigarette packs are costly. Stopping smoking would mean that the money that was used for cigarettes could be used for other causes, such as pampering yourself with luxuries.</p>
<p>The benefits of stopping smoking are certainly many and the advantages of smoking are yet to be discovered. Sure, it brings in a lot of tax revenue and keeps some people in gainful employment, but then smokers also take more time off sick and spend more time in hospital than their non-smoking colleagues. Smokers reply that it calms their nerves, but so would other relaxation techniques such as yoga even sitting down. Let&#8217;s face it, public mood has swung far against smoking with smokers more often than not being vilified and pitied  these days. Smokers also look rather silly nipping out of the office, restaurant or pub for a cigarette every hour or so, don&#8217;t they?</p>
