There are so many outdated myths floating around the internet, that learning how to lose arm fat the right way can be harder than finding a needle in a haystack. And most women do not know how to find that needle. But it’s the marketers fault, not theirs.

Type the term “flabby arms” into any search engine and you’ll be instantly bombarded with too many gimmicks to count. It’s no wonder that most women have no idea on who to trust. In fact, one site claims that the key to losing arm fat is through underground hypnosis.

Please do not buy into this madness, if you do your purse will get lighter, but your arms will not! You have to stick to trustworthy sources of information.

And there are trustworthy sources of information out there. The trick is to develop the ability to immediately decide whether or not your source of information is bogus. Here are some common red-flag-claims that indicate a bogus source:

1. Weightlifting will make your arms big. Nothing could be further from the truth. With weightlifting you build muscle and burn fat. Muscle takes up less space than fat. Thus, weightlifting makes your arms smaller.

2. Long duration cardio is essential. This is another common myth. You see, cortisol is long duration cardio’s best friend. Too much cortisol will burn through your muscle and increase stomach fat. So stick to weightlifting!

3. You should eliminate dietary fat since it’s high calorie. If you go low fat, your body will stop producing fat-burning hormones. It will also be very painful because of the gargantuan sugar spikes that accompany low fat eating.

4. It’s your gene’s fault. Please do not use the genetics scapegoat. Genetics have a mild impact on the overall “look” of your arms, but they do NOT have the final say. Nutrition and lifestyle factors (i.e., weightlifting) play the biggest role in how your arms look.

Figuring out how to lose arm fat doesn’t have to be so confusing. If you find any of the above statements in whatever you are reading then turn the page. Keep the savvy marketers from emptying your bank account.

Now I would like to add that trying many different things through massive action is the fastest way to sexy arm success. Do not get paralyzed by information overload.

To avoid any confusion: it's impossible to completely tone one specific body part in complete isolation without involving other muscles. All your body parts are interconnected in one way or another.

To avoid any confusion: it’s impossible to completely tone one specific body part in complete isolation without involving other muscles. All your body parts are interconnected in one way or another.

Having said that, you can focus the majority of the exercise stimulus on specific muscles. And this is the next best thing to complete muscle isolation.

So, without further ado, here is a review of body part specific toning:

1. Front chest: Your best bet here is going to be dumbbell bench presses. Not only is this exercise very shoulder friendly, but it’s also better at activating more chest fibers. And please stay away from doing regular barbell bench presses.

2. Wider back: One of the biggest mistakes you can do here is pulling down to your rear neck. Not only is this anatomically dangerous, but it’s not as effective as pulling down to the front. For a wider back, stay away from narrow grip pull downs and stick with wider grips.

3. Shoulders: Having strong and toned shoulders looks really good on anybody. And if you fully develop your shoulders, you can even make your waist look smaller. Now the best way to develop your shoulders is by doing over head presses.

4. Calves: Stay away from seated versions here, even though they are more comfortable. You are far better off doing standing calf raises. The only consideration here, however, is if you have a tight posterior chain from extended periods of time in the seated position. If this is the case, you may want to go easy with calf raises.

5. Triceps: Your best bet here is going to be any type of overhead tricep extension. This form of tricep exercise targets the long head, the biggest portion of the tricep muscle. If you have any shoulder pain, however, stick with machines here.

Although you can’t completely isolate a specific muscle, you can definitely focus stress on specific muscles. So if any of the above body parts are problem areas for you, take action on this advice sooner rather than later!

One of the most popular trend nowadays, especially for the ladies is to have a slim figure. That is why many people are determined to lose that excess weight. Losing weight is not as hard as it seems. It is not a mysterious process either. You just need to understand that it is just a matter of how much calories you are taking in and at the same time, how much of it do you effectively burn. To achieve weight loss is as easy as that.

Losing weight is not magic. It is not instant, unless you count surgeries and advance treatments such as liposuction and gastric banding. Though the market offers you instant solutions such as pills, medicines and other commercial products, they most likely are ineffective and would probably cause various unwanted side effects. Losing weight is gradual, the small changes you see everyday is a sign that your body is reacting effectively to your weight loss diets or programs.

If for example you would want to 1 pound of your weight, it means that you need to take off 3500 calories off your body. You have to burn those extra calories from your activities. Of course, you need not to burn in all in just 1 day. You may do it gradually – step by step but effectively. And how do you that?

Do you know your metabolic rate? Basal metabolic rate the amount of energy your body needed for vital function. It is energy that you need during your post-absorptive state or when your digestive system is inactive. This is the minimum amount of calories you need to take everyday. Just remember that the calculator is not always 100% accurate. As you progress from your weight loss diet or program, have your body adjust into in and make the necessary adjustment.

Also, you need to keep track of your activity level. You need a calorie calculator for you to be able to know how much calories you burn while standing, sitting, lifting weights and exercising each day. This will help you keep a daily journal of your activities. You can also use a heart rate monitor which calculates how much calories you have burned.

You must know how much calories you take. It is not hard to know how much calories you take these days. There are so many websites today that shows calorie count of different kinds of food, and you can make a list on what you drink and eat everyday.

Lastly, calculate your basal metabolic rate, add your calorie activity and then deduct the food calories from the total. If you are eating more calories than you are burning, you will probably gain weight, but if you are burning calories more than you eat, then you lose weight.

How about exercise? It should be part of your physical activity list. It is one of the most important factors for weight loss. Of course, different people would need different amount and quality of exercise. It depends on the person’s physical attributes and experience. If you are just a beginner, it is better for you to start small. Exercise 3 days per week for 20 to 40 minutes for your body to have time to adjust. A pro on the other hand may take about 1 to 2 hours of exercise everyday.

You may be figure conscious and want weight loss program that is applicable to your day-to-day routine. There are so many choose from; it is just a matter of staying discipline that helps you achieve this goal. You may want to read about fast weight loss.

Figuring out how to tone up arms can be hard with all the free and subpar information out there. In fact, I believe that many women are utterly lost when it comes to finding the right approach.

Figuring out how to tone up arms can be hard with all the free and subpar information out there. In fact, I believe that many women are utterly lost when it comes to finding the right approach.

I know this is the case because of all the questions I receive on a daily basis.

And don’t be too hard on yourself. After all, a lot of this confusion is created by questionable marketing that will make your purse lighter while your arms get heavier.

So without further delay, here are 5 myths on how to tone up arms:

1. Exercising on a daily basis is the best approach. This is a great way to get an overuse injury. Please do not try to do this. After all, once you tweak a tendon or ligament, healing will take a very long time. You body needs proper rest.

2. Something is wrong if one arm is stronger than the other. Nothing could be further from the truth, this is perfectly normal. Over time, this discrepancy will begin to fade. Just make sure that you do unilateral movements.

3. I should be able to do 15 repetitions for every set in very workout. This will surely lead to arm toning failure! There are no cookie cutter rules here. In fact, you should strive to experiment with a wide variety of repetitions for maximum effect.

4. You should never get tired when working out. This is not true. And expect to get extra tired whenever you are breaking a personal best. The only time you should stop is if you start feeling queasy or sick. Otherwise keep on pushing through so that you get maximum benefit from your workouts.

5. If you’re sore a couple days after exercising, something is wrong! This simply means that you had an intense workout-just what you need to do to tone up those arms. And keep in mind that this delayed soreness will decrease as you eat better and your body learns to recover faster.

Please steer clear of all the marketing hype out there. Stick to unbiased sources of information and learning how to tone up arms will be that much easier. Only then will you get the sexy arms of your dreams!

Tracking your fat loss progress accurately is absolutely essential if you want to reach your body composition goals. The main problem here, however, is that too many people are using the wrong method, a weight scale, to track their progress.

by Katherine Crawford M.S.

Tracking your fat loss progress accurately is absolutely essential if you want to reach your body composition goals. The main problem here, however, is that too many people are using the wrong method, a weight scale, to track their progress.

What is the big deal with weight scales? They do NOT take into account all the positive variables that can change while weight stays the same or even increases. So if you are serious about staying on track please do not use a weight scale as the end all be all to your success.

And not all body fat tests are created equal.

So here is a quick guide to body fat testing:

1. Fat fold tests. Performed with skin calipers, fat fold tests are relatively accurate when done by an experienced professional. The key here is to make sure that the same person takes your measurements every single time. And also keep in mind that I have seen even the most highly skilled testers come up with skewed measurements.

2. Hydrostatic testing. Fat and lean tissues have different densities. And this test measures the density of your body to determine how much fast and muscle you have. Unfortunately, the preparation and the number of variables involved that can go wrong make this method not so attractive to the average person.

3. Conductivity. You have seen the machines that perform this test all over the place. They are relatively inexpensive and easy to use. They send an electrical current through your body to determine just how much body fat you are holding. Unfortunately, they are extremely inaccurate.

4. DEXA. Also known as dual energy x-ray absorptiometry, this technique sends a couple harmless x-rays through your body to measure levels of lean tissue. It is very accurate and requires little, if any preparation. The only drawback here is cost.

Of the methods described in this article, I would recommend staying away from electrical tests, they are simply too inaccurate. Other than that, the main factor affecting accuracy will be the skill of the technician performing the measurements. So use the same reliable person over and over again.

Getting rid of flabby arms entails a solid understanding of protein. Why? Because protein plays a major role in the female body. And if you don’t know how to manage your protein intake, results could come at a much slower pace.

And not all sources of protein are good for you.

In fact, there are some types of protein that you should avoid at ALL costs. So here are 5 types of protein you should NOT eat when toning flabby arms:

1. Farmed salmon. The research is clear here: farmed salmon has significant amounts of toxins and carcinogens. Although more expensive, you should stick to wild salmon for long-term health.

2. Protein that has been deep fried. Not only is the fat on the protein bad for you, but so are the fumes. In fact, inhaling fumes while frying meat increases rates of lung cancer.

3. Charred meats. We love big grills and big barbecues. Unfortunately, all those black and crunchy edges of meat increase colon cancer risk. So stay away from any type of meat that has been cooked to the point of blackness.

4. Fatty meat. Meat isn’t necessarily bad for you, it’s the fat within the meat that creates problems. In fact, grass fed meat is quite healthy because it has more omega-3 fat and less saturated fat. The only drawback is that grass fed meat can be quite expensive

5. Deli slices. Deli cut meat is ultra-convenient and ultra-unhealthy. Unfortunately, the nitrates found in said meats increase rates of cancer. So please stay away from deli cuts no matter how tasty or convenient they may be.

Toning flabby arms should not include risks to your health. So make sure you stick to clean and natural sources of protein. And by avoiding the above types of protein you’ll be much more healthier during your sexy arm journey.

Is it possible to tone flabby arms without a treadmill or weights? Yes, it is.

Now exercise is great for you and it definitely accelerates the toning process. But if you are looking for other options, I am here to provide them.

So how do you do it? With spontaneous fat loss. This type of fat loss refers to reductions in caloric intake that are unconscious. In other words, there are certain environmental factors you can manipulate that will automatically reduce the amount of calories you eat.

So without any more delay, here are 4 things you can do that will tone flabby arms the easy way:

1. Keep bad food in areas that are not easily accessible. One study showed that people eat 300% more candy when it’s within arms’ reach. So make sure to keep all calorie-heavy food far far away no matter what. Conversely, keep the good food very very close. What type of results would you get if you ate 300% more good food?

2. Use smaller eating devices. A really cool study showed that people unconsciously eat 50% more ice cream when using jumbo spoons and bowls. This happened because the scoops of ice cream looked much much smaller next to the large eating devices.

3. Use tall and thin glassware when drinking calorie-laden liquids. People will poor up to 30% more liquid when using short glasses versus tall glasses. Why? Because a volume of liquid looks much smaller in a short/wide glass versus a tall/thin glass.

4. Use the same plate when at a buffet. If your table is constantly cleared at a buffet, you’ll eat 25% more. This happens because as the plates are taken away you forget how much you have eaten. You lose your visual point of reference.

Figuring out how to tone flabby arms doesn’t have to give you a massive headache. In fact, it can be much easier than you think. With the above tips I have given you, the process will become that much easier. All you have to do is take action. That’s it.

by Katherine Crawford M.S.

It can be extremely difficult to unearth the best flabby arm exercises I know this because I tried to find the best arm exercises not too long ago.

Why is it so difficult? Because there are way too many opinions out there all coming from so called experts. And most of the time, said opinions are contradictions of each other.

How are you going to unearth the top-tier flabby arm exercises if there is a mine field of convoluted recommendations? Well, without a good source of information, it’s virtually impossible.

As a result, I’ve decided to take this problem head on. I am going to be embarking on an on-going review of all the arm exercises out there. So without further delay, here is today’s review of high pulley curls:

1. Snap shot. This exercise is very useful for working on the pinnacle of your biceps. If done with perfect form, it can really make your biceps get the pop-out effect.

2. Technique overview. Stand straight up between two high pulleys. Grab both handles with an underhand grip. Breathe out and bring the handles towards your ears. Breathe in and return them to the starting position.

3. High frequency mistakes. Yanking the handles in by caving the chest in. Not doing the exercise through its full range of motion. And letting the neck tilt forward which is not good for the spine.

4. Bottom line. This is an above average exercise. The only issue is that it doesn’t work a large amount of muscle mass in your arms in comparison to other exercises. And if you want the fastest results, you have to work a large amount of muscle mass.

So that’s it for today’s review of flabby arm exercises. Watch out for my next one. And remember, the best way to reach sexy arm stardom is by learning as much as you can!

So you think that milk is good for your body? If yes then you really need to read this article right till the end. There are a lot of people who have similar believe as you, and I cannot blame anybody for this because dairy farmers are responsible for all these. They claim that milk will help strengthen your bones because of the presence of calcium in it. They also claim that milk will give you such energy boost that you will feel like a superman. Obviously, they want you to believe this way so that they can cash in on your gullibility. However, just as some other myths are doing the rounds of the weight loss industry, this is also a myth.

1. Believe it or not, the milk you purchase from your local store is not pure milk: it has been processed with the help of pasteurization, meaning that it has been boiled at a temperature of 160 centigrade and then cooled down. Milk is pasteurized in order to kill any and all the germs present in the raw milk. On the flip side, pasteurization not only kills the germs, but also the beneficial nutrients present in it. Enzymes such as lipase and phosphates can be a lot beneficial to your body, but you don’t benefit from those enzymes in the pasteurized milk that you purchase from your local shop.

That is not however the end of the story. Pasteurization also kills antibodies such as immunoglobulin that is present in raw milk. Immunoglobulin helps to immune your body against various diseases. As you can see, milk is in no way beneficial for you, at least not the one that comes in sealed packets.

After pasteurization is completed, the milk is homogenized to maintain the cream at the bottom. Once this process is done, several synthetic vitamins are added to it in order to make it ‘nutritious’. However, remember that synthetic vitamins are not and can never be substitutes for natural vitamins. They are man-made chemicals and will have more harmful effects to your body.

2. Milk causes weight gain: Contrary to what you might believe, milk will actually make you gain weight rather than lose it. If you are in the habit of drinking milk frequently, it is not surprising that you have become overweight. As you drink more and more milk, you will gain more and more weight.

3. Milk causes a host of other diseases: Besides weight gain, there are a lot of harmful side effects of drinking milk, such as skin allergies, cancer, acne, arthritis, constipation, etc.

So do you still think milk is good for you?

Tell everybody that you’re going to lose weight and you will get inundated with advice. Whoever you talk to will warn you what not to do and what to be aware of. It can become a bit of a night mare. You are left really not knowing what to do.

There is always the diet of the moment. Someone is bound to have tried it. Have you noticed that people who recommend things often say things are good when in fact they are not? It’s not that they want to do you any harm or to mislead you: mostly they want to justify their decision to themselves.

Stay quiet. Don’t say a word about wanting to lose weight and your life will remain normal and controllable. Mention the fact that you’re going to lose weight and you will be asking for a very pressured life – not what you want when you are going have to jump through several uncomfortable hoops.

The best thing to do is to keep very quiet about your plans. Don’t tell a soul. Just get on with the task of finding the best plan you can.

Don’t go on a diet. This is probably the best tip that you will ever get about losing weight. It sounds strange, but as far as advice is concerned, it’s gold dust!

What do modern diets deliver? Weight loss…yes, of a kind. It’s called short-term weight loss, because in nearly all cases to weight returns. Is this what dieters really want? It’s what the multi-billion dollar industry wants because people have to come back for more. Dieters don’t achieve what they all want – permanent weight loss.

So what’s the answer? The simple fact is that if you want to lose weight permanently you have to change. You have to get rid of the habits that make you fat. You do this by learning new ones – slim habits.

Learning new habits is the only sure fire way of making change. It means that you can learn new eating and lifestyle habits that will be with you forever and it will allow you to take control of your life so that you never have to go on a diet again.
